reviewed: volkswagen golf tdi
Small, diesel hatchbacks are popular everywhere. They get great mileage, and are good for the environment. In today's review, let's take a look at the original diesel hatchback, the Volkswagen Golf TDI. The Golf TDI, which stands for Turbo-Direct-Injection, was introduced in 1979, and still being produced today. It has a 1.8 liter TDI Clean Diesel engine, and gets around 40 MPG. It has a good amount of room and quality. It comes equipped with a nice stereo, roomy backseat, comfortable bucket seats in the front, stitched steering wheel rim, stitched shift lever and boot, and a stitched handbrake lever. It comes standard with a 6-speed manual gearbox with optional 5-speed automatic. It also has a nice, tight steering feel, giving it a more "racy" look and feel.
